Thanks to all of our 2013 participants and volunteers! It was a beautiful morning in downtown Boise for so many friends and families to come together, and to be thankful for all that we have and help others! You helped us donate $10,000 to local non-profit organizations. We can't wait to see you again in 2014.
Warm up your Thanksgiving appetite with the Turkey Day 5K! The Boise TD5K brings family and friends together to start the day in a healthy way. Come dressed the part, and join runners, joggers and walkers for this lighthearted run. We can’t anticipate the weather, but we can guarantee fun.

All adult Turkey Day 5K Boise participants will receive a shirt with their race registration! Shirts will be available at pre-race packet pickup and at the race.
With the additional parking and extra goodies, pre-race packet pickup allows extra time to relax a little longer on Thanksgiving morning. Packet pickup will be held at Whole Foods Market. A parking lot next to the store will be available for use in addition to the store lot. Participants who pick up their packets at Whole Foods will receive their event shirt and race bib with timing chip. Packet pickup times will be announced closer to the event date.
If you're registered under a group pickup name, please check in with this name at any of the packet pickups to quickly get all of the bibs and shirts for everyone in your group.
Enjoy a scenic, 5K course with your family and friends in Downtown Boise! Walk, jog, or run along the flat course, which starts on Main Street at Capitol Blvd, heads through downtown, and finishes back in front of City Hall on Capitol Blvd.
Participants will be staged according to anticipated pace to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for everyone. Strollers are allowed, but must line up behind individual runners and walkers. Leashed dogs are also permitted, and pet owners must line up with their dogs behind individual runners and walkers. Music players with headphones are allowed.
Thanksgiving morning is usually chilly, but we can't anticipate the exact weather. Dress yourself and your little ones warmly. Last year there were many chilly hands and feet, so be prepared. Hats are a great way to stay warm. We will be waiting at the finish with hot chocolate, coffee, muffins and cookies.
The 2014 event will be timed. More details will be available on race timing closer to race day.
Boise Rescue Mission and Local Special Olympics Teams
Proceeds from the Boise Turkey Day 5K benefit the Boise Rescue Mission's City Light Home for Women and Children, as well as our local Special Olympics teams. Special Olympians from the Boise Community Stars and Ghostbusters teams will be on course serving Thanksgiving holiday cheers at the aid station and finish line.
Please help us fill up the local area food banks by donating non-perishable food items in the start area on Thanksgiving morning.
