Pre-race packet pickup allows you to have extra time to relax on Thanksgiving morning, gives you the opportunity to show off your fun shirt and offers a chance to enter into a drawing. Advanced packet pickup is available at George's Cycles on Front Street (251 E. Front Street, Boise, ID 83702) located just east of the Downtown Boise Winco and can be accessed easily from Front or Myrtle. At packet pickup you will receive a raffle ticket for a drawing that will be held each day. The earlier you come pick up your packet, the more chances you have to win!
Packet pickup will be at George's Cycles (Front Street) on the following dates:
Saturday, November 22: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. (10% off everything in the store for all Turkey Day Run registrants)
Sunday, November 23: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Monday, November 24: 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Tuesday, November 25: 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Wednesday, November 26: 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
If you do need to pick up your packet on Thanksgiving, please plan to arrive very early to give yourself enough time to get to the start area by 9 a.m.
If you're registered under a group pickup name, please check in with this name at any of the packet pickups to quickly get all of the bibs and shirts for everyone in your group.
REMINDER: Please help us fill up the Boise Rescue Mission Food Bank by bringing non-perishable food items to packet pickup and the start area on Thanksgiving morning.
All Turkey Day Run Boise participants will receive a shirt with their race registration! Shirts will be available at pre-race packet pickup and at the race.
Thanksgiving morning is usually chilly, but we can't anticipate the exact weather. Dress yourself and your little ones warmly. Last year there were many chilly hands and feet, so be prepared. Hats are a great way to stay warm. We will be waiting at the finish with hot chocolate, coffee, muffins and cookies.
Enjoy a scenic, 5K course with your family and friends in Downtown Boise! Walk, jog or run along the flat course, which starts on Main Street at Capitol Blvd, heads through downtown, and finishes back in front of City Hall on Capitol Blvd.
Participants will be staged according to anticipated pace to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for everyone. Strollers are allowed, but must line up behind individual runners and walkers. Leashed dogs are also permitted, and pet owners must line up with their dogs behind individual runners and walkers. Music players with headphones are allowed.
Be a volunteer!
Volunteers are essential to the Turkey Day 5K. Come out to cheer, encourage and support your family, friends and other athletes all before you butter your yams.
Please email us for more information. We can't have this event without YOU!

For those choosing to be timed, look for the results kiosk in the finish area. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers in the following categories at the results tent immediately following the event:
The 2014 event offers the choice of a timed run or a run just for fun.
As long as you had some Turkey Day fun, that's a win in our book! However, if you're looking for the numbers, results will be available here following the conclusion of the race.
All metered street parking is free on Thanksgiving Day. The Eastman garage, located at Main Street between 8th and 9th Street, will be available primarily for complimentary volunteer parking; early bird participants might find a spot left.
