Warm up your Thanksgiving appetite with the Turkey Day Run Boise! The Turkey Day Run Boise brings family and friends together to start the day in a healthy way. Come dressed the part, and join runners, joggers and walkers for this lighthearted run. We can’t anticipate the weather, but we can guarantee fun.
And remember to PLEASE BRING NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS TO THE START AREA ON THANKSGIVING MORNING to help us fill up the Boise Rescue Mission and City Light Home for Women and Children pantries!

Pre-race packet pickup allows you to have extra time to relax on Thanksgiving morning, gives you the opportunity to show off your fun shirt and offers a chance to enter into a drawing. Packet pickup location, dates and times will be announced closer to the event date.
If you're registered under a group pickup name, please check in with this name at any of the packet pickups to quickly get all of the bibs and shirts for everyone in your group.
REMINDER: Please bring non-perishable food items to packet pickup and the start area on Thanksgiving morning.

All Turkey Day Run Boise participants will receive a shirt with their race registration! Shirts will be available at pre-race packet pickup and at the race.
Thanksgiving morning is usually chilly, but we can't anticipate the exact weather. Dress yourself and your little ones warmly. Last year there were many chilly hands and feet, so be prepared. Hats are a great way to stay warm. We will be waiting at the finish with hot chocolate, coffee, muffins and cookies.
Enjoy a scenic, 5K course with your family and friends in Downtown Boise! Walk, jog or run along the flat course, which starts on Main Street at Capitol Blvd, heads through downtown, and finishes back in front of City Hall on Capitol Blvd.
Participants will be staged according to anticipated pace to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for everyone. Strollers are allowed, but must line up behind individual runners and walkers. Leashed dogs are also permitted, and pet owners must line up with their dogs behind individual runners and walkers. Music players with headphones are allowed.
The 2014 event offers the choice of a timed run or a run just for fun.
Please not the schedule below is tentative, and times are scheduled to change.
• 6:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. Race-day registration and packet pickup.
• 9 a.m. 5K starts
We will be taking photos in the start and finish areas and out on the course. We will also be taking photos of groups of family and friends in a designated spot near the finish area. These family and friends photos will be available for free download after the race.
For those choosing to be timed, look for the results kiosk in the finish area. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers in the following categories at the results tent immediately following the event:
The winners of this year's many raffle prizes will be drawn prior to race day, to help make sure you're not late for your family's feast. Be sure to register in advance if you want to qualify, and look for the raffle prize board in the finish area to see if you were a winner!
All metered street parking is free on Thanksgiving Day. The Eastman garage, located at Main Street between 8th and 9th Street, will be available primarily for complimentary volunteer parking; early bird participants might find a spot left. All other downtown Boise garages will have a $5 maximum fee for parking.

Boise Rescue Mission and Local Special Olympics Teams
Proceeds from the Turkey Day Run Boise benefit the Boise Rescue Mission's City Light Home for Women and Children, as well as our local Special Olympics teams. Special Olympians from the Boise Community Stars and Ghostbusters teams will be on course serving Thanksgiving holiday cheers at the aid station and finish line.
Please help us fill up the local area food banks by donating non-perishable food items in the start area on Thanksgiving morning.
