Life Time Fitness - Turkey Day

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Turkey Day 5K Minneapolis. Please take a moment to consider what positions best suit your interests and abilities. Once you register for one of the below positions we will contact you with details as race day approaches.

Pre-registration 5:15 a.m. – 9 a.m. 
Event Crew will work with participants as they arrive to pick up their race number, and check IDs. These participants have pre-registered online or by mail. Event Crew will also help tear down the pre-registration area.

Race Day Registration 5:15 a.m. – 9 a.m. 
Event Crew will work with the participants as they arrive to register. These participants will need to fill out a registration form, pay the race fee and pick up a race number. Event Crew will also help tear down the race day registration area.

Course Marshal 7 a.m. – 10 a.m.  
Event Crew’s main job is to monitor intersections, control crowds along the course, set up signs and move barricades into place (if applicable). For safety reasons we cannot allow volunteers under the age of 16 at this position unless accompanied by an adult. Police will be positioned at all major intersections.

Start/Finish Line 6:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. 
Event Crew will assist with setting up and tearing down the start/finish area. Event Crew will also help direct participants from registration to the start line, and from the finish line to the post-race party.

T-shirt Distribution 5:15 a.m. – 9 a.m. 
Event Crew will hand out T-shirts to participants and wish them good luck before the race. Event crew will also help tear down the T-shirt area, including packing up the left over shirts into boxes.

Refreshments 6:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Event Crew will help set up and tear down the refreshments area. Event Crew will also encourage participants to keep moving through the lines and restock the product as necessary. The position may include some physical labor.

Family Fun Area 6 a.m. – 10 a.m. 
Event Crew will help set up the family photo booth, distribute turkeys for the "turkey carrying" division and assist with cleanup and teardown of the family fun area. This position may include some physical labor.

Greeter 5:45 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. 
Event Crew will be responsible for directing the crowd to appropiate areas, including pre-registration, race day registration, T-shirt distribution, starting line, etc.
