Warm up your Thanksgiving appetite with the 2012 Life Time Turkey Day 5K.  Since 1989, the TD5k has brought family and friends together to start the day in a healthy way. Join runners, joggers, and walkers for a morning of fun.

The 2012 Life Time Fitness Turkey Day 5K Las Vegas will start and finish downtown on Las Vegas Boulevard at the world famous Fremont Street. The flat 5-kilometer course will tour the historic downtown Las Vegas area - home to everyone from Bugsy Segal to the current reality show hit, Pawn Stars. The fun run ends with a dramatic finish amidst the neon celebration of the Fremont Street Experience.

Strollers are allowed, but must line up behind individual runners and walkers. Music players with headphones are allowed.

Everybody knows the party never stops in Las Vegas and the Turkey Day 5K is no exception. Be sure to stay for the Turkey Day 5K awards presentation at the 3rd Street Stage. In addition to athlete refreshments, great music and the presentation of trophies, everyone will have the opportunity to win great prizes from our sponsors. You don’t want to miss this one.

The entire race course will be closed to vehicle traffic just before and throughout the event.

Parking will not be allowed anywhere on the race course itself. Parking on all other local streets as well as the Fremont Street Garage located at Carson St. between Las Vegas Blvd. and 4th St. is FREE on race day!

For many, today is not a day of overindulgence but just another day to figure out where their next meal is coming from. In support of those in our community that are less fortunate, the Turkey Day 5k has teamed up with Three Square. Three Square is Southern Nevada’s only food bank providing food assistance to the residents of Lincoln, Nye, Esmeralda and Clark Counties. What are you thankful for today?

All runners and their families are asked to bring at least 3 non perishable food items (canned goods), per family, in donation to Three Square. There will be a drop box at the entrance to the Fremont Street parking garage, at the 3rd Street Stage and at Registration/Packet Pick-up located at the Fremont Street Experience at 3rd Street between the stage and Ogden Ave.
